ETAS is required for any visa-exempt foreign nationals who are traveling to Autralia. Although you can apply for an ETAS anytime, we strongly suggest you to apply for an ETAS as soon as you have decided to travel Australia. You must have your ETAS approved before the entry. Your ETAS will electronically be linked to your passport. Please apply online and make sure you have an approved ETAS.
A visitor who holds a passport from one of the following countries or regions: Brunei - Darussalam Australia Hong Kong (SAR PRC) Japan Malaysia Singapore Korea, Rep of (South) United States. A visitor whose purpose to visit Australia is following: Tourism, Visiting family/friends, business visiting (Business meetings, Business Events, Business exhibition, and etc). A visitor whose stay is less than 3 months. A person with no other kinds of Australian visas. Please note that the visitor must be free from tuberculosis and must not have any criminal convictions for which the sentence or sentences (whether served or not) total 12 months or more.
ETAS can only be applied online. ETAS can be applied easily online, all you need is your passport, credit card, and an e-mail address. Your passport has to be valid until at least one day longer than the date you are leaving from Australia. Please prepare these items and apply. If you wish to apply through our website, you will need to agree on our policies and protocols. If you can not agree with our policies, please do not use our Site.
It normally does not take much time, the average days for the confirmation is 3-4 days. A week at maximum.

If you do not have an ETAS or visa, you can not enter Australia.
If your ETAS is invalid, you can not enter Australia. You can re-apply for an ETAS any time as you like. However please keep in mind that each application costs as much as the first application. If you can think of any factors of your rejection, please put the reasons down on the form and apply again.
Once your ETAS has been approved, you will receive an e-mail with your ETAS information including your personal eTA number. This e-mail does not have to be printed out, but we strongly recommend you to keep your ETAS number. If your ETAS is rejected, you need to apply for a Australian visa.

If you submitted a false information and not correct them, your immigration to Australia will likely be rejected. If you found out that your information is wrong, please re-apply with the correct information. Please note the re-application will cost as much as the usual application.

Please specify personal ID, the date you applied, your name, and your passport number to the e-mail you received from us. And we will send a pdf file to your e-mail.
There is no need to print the ETAS confirmation documents out. Your ETAS will automatically be linked to your passport by Australian government's system. However, in case of unforeseen circumstances, we recommend you to keep your ETAS ID.
Your ETAS will automatically be invalid. Because your ETAS and your passport are linked, once your passport/passport information changes, your ETAS will automatically be invalid. Please remember to apply for a new ETAS if your passport/passport information changes.
ETAS is valid for a year or until the applicant’s passport expires, whichever occurs sooner.
